Description

Euxyl PE 9010 is a liquid, broad-spectrum cosmetic preservative blend. Phenoxyethanol acts as the primary antimicrobial agent targeting bacteria, while ethylhexylglycerin acts as a preservative booster by lowering the surface tension at microorganism cell membranes.

USES/BENEFITS

Broad-Spectrum Protection: Prevents the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold in water-containing or vulnerable formulas.

Skincare Applications: Used in face creams, lotions, serums, sunscreens, toners, face washes, and liquid soaps.

Anhydrous & Emulsion Compatibility: Works well in oil-in-water emulsions and oil-based or balm-to-milk cleansers that may accidentally be exposed to water.

Skin Conditioning: Ethylhexylglycerin doubles as a mild skin-conditioning agent, adding a soft skin feel.

Gentle Profile: Free of harsh formaldehyde and parabens, making it suitable for sensitive skin formulations

Rinse-Off and Leave-In Products: Compatible with shampoos, liquid hair cleansers, and hair conditioners.

Surfactant Compatibility: Effective in anionic, cationic, and non-ionic surfactant systems (though heavy loads of ethoxylated surfactants can occasionally reduce efficacy).

Shelf-Life Stability: Keeps liquid hair care formulas from spoiling or developing microbial contamination during regular consumer use (such as water entering shampoo bottles in the shower)
